What We Believe

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and the final rule for faith and life.

One God

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully man, who died for our sins, rose again, and is coming back.

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.

Our Story

History

Toronto Chinese Good News Church is an affiliate of the Good News Church founded in Taiwan. Rev. James Ko, the Senior Pastor in Taipei, serves as our covering pastor and visits Toronto each year.

Of the many branch churches planted over the years, the Toronto congregation is the one that remains closely connected to the Good News Church family — a heritage we're grateful for.

The church operates with full local autonomy and is also part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). In 2022 we celebrated our 30th Anniversary.

Our Roots — Good News Church, Taiwan

TCGNC grew out of the Good News Church founded in Taiwan by Rev. James Ko. More of that story — carried over from the Taiwan church — will be added here to fill in our roots.
